The 26th year of the contest „Bread of the Year 2020“ took place on the first day of October. Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the awards ceremony was held in a more intimate spirit. Products in this prestigious contest are being evaluated in five categories – Bread of the Year 900 – 1 200 g, Bread of the Year 500 – 800 g, Bread without limits, Innovation of the Year, and New generation preference.
In the categories of consume bread, where the rye sourdough is used standardly, on five places out of six awarded took place products with DIOSTART sourdough (formerly ISERNHÄGER), which is supplied to the bakery market by our company. We congratulate the winners and we are happy with the products quality of our customers. Success in the contest is confirming the benefits of DIOSTART fermentation process, which allows the utilization of traditional rye sourdough even in the conditions of industrial bakery production.
